Major Exclusions
Loss or Damage from Unattended Vehicles
Excludes any loss or damage to artwork left unattended or unsecured in vehicles.
Exhibition Loss Without Notification
Coverage does not extend to losses occurring at exhibitions unless agreed upon in advance.
Wear and Tear or Gradual Deterioration
Does not cover damage due to gradual deterioration, inherent defects, or normal wear and tear.
Damage During Restoration or Repair
Excludes damages that occur while repairing, restoring, or retouching artwork.
Damage from Environmental Factors
Losses caused by aridity, humidity, or exposure to light and temperature extremes, except due to storm, frost, or fire.
Consequential Loss
Does not cover any form of indirect or consequential loss resulting from the incident.
Mysterious Disappearance or Unexplained Loss
Excludes claims for loss or disappearance that cannot be explained or identified.
Biological, Chemical, or Nuclear Contamination
Excludes losses caused by biological, chemical contamination, or nuclear-related events.
- If the appropriate waiver is not opted for, then the policy will not cover
- Treatment of pre-existing illnesses.
- Any treatment for illnesses/diseases within the first 30 days of the policy, unless it is an accident.
- Treatment of specified illnesses for the first year of the policy.
- Certain diseases like hernia, cataract, piles, sinusitis, etc are excluded during the first year of operation in the cover.
- Any claim arising out of or traceable to pregnancy.
- Ayurvedic, homeopathy, naturopathy or any other form of local medication.
- Alcoholism, drug abuse, and AIDS.
- Dental treatment or surgery unless it requires hospitalization.
- Cost of spectacles.
- Vaccination and inoculation.
- Cosmetic treatment.
