Major Exclusions
Substance Abuse and Mental Health
Excludes claims arising from alcohol, drugs, mental disorders, anxiety, or venereal diseases.
HIV and Related Illnesses
Coverage does not include expenses arising from HIV or related conditions.
Radiation and Nuclear Exposure
Excludes damages or medical costs caused by radiation or nuclear activities.
Adventure and Sports Risks
Claims arising from injuries during sports or adventure activities are not covered.
Pre-Existing Conditions
Medical expenses related to pre-existing conditions are not covered.
War and Conflict
Excludes expenses from war or war-like situations.
Loss of Valuables and Passports
Excludes reimbursement for loss of valuables, money, securities, tickets, or passports in public places.
Employer and Personal Liability
Does not cover employer contractual liabilities or the insured’s personal liabilities.
- If the appropriate waiver is not opted for, then the policy will not cover
- Treatment of pre-existing illnesses.
- Any treatment for illnesses/diseases within the first 30 days of the policy, unless it is an accident.
- Treatment of specified illnesses for the first year of the policy.
- Certain diseases like hernia, cataract, piles, sinusitis, etc are excluded during the first year of operation in the cover.
- Any claim arising out of or traceable to pregnancy.
- Ayurvedic, homeopathy, naturopathy or any other form of local medication.
- Alcoholism, drug abuse, and AIDS.
- Dental treatment or surgery unless it requires hospitalization.
- Cost of spectacles.
- Vaccination and inoculation.
- Cosmetic treatment.
